This major will   be set up relying on the state-level featured major and sino-foreign   cooperative major—Computer science and technology. Regarding the construction   of the major, we have already accumulated abundant teaching recourses for   theoretical courses and enhanced the environment for practice teaching. With   several professors from internationally renowned colleges and universities,   and in-depth cooperation with corporations, we have built a teaching team   with rich teaching experience, strong research capacity and a high level of   internationalization. Through small-class teaching and in-depth discussion,   we are able to maintain academic exchange between teachers and students,   intensify teachers’ role of offering direct guidance, and advance small-scale   discussion to a new level. Moreover, we keep up with the technologies of the   industry and latest development of application. On the basis of systematic   lectures on the field of computer science, we have introduced to the courses   state-of-the-art technologies and theoretical knowledge, especially those   related to intelligence science, analysis and application of big data, etc.   We aim to cultivate computer talents equipped with an international vision,   profound theoretical knowledge of computer science, strong practical ability,   and the capability to be engaged in research and application development on   computer science and technology.

Supported by   “information and communication engineering”, which is the key subject at   provincial level, a key laboratory of modern optoelectric detection   technology and instruments, and a key laboratory at provincial level of   optical fiber sensing and optoelectric detection system,  we have taken industry-university-research   cooperation and international cooperation as its core in running the   university and formed a school characteristic featuring engineering   management, internationalization and a talent-cultivating model of conducting   innovation-driven projects.
